What's the difference between evaporation and cooling?
Cooling through evaporation is a natural process. The most common example is skin temperature reduction thanks to the evaporation of body perspiration. This is the one and only mechanism our body has to keep its 37°C core temperature, evaporating. The principle underlying evaporative cooling is the fact that water must absorb heat for it to change from a liquid to a vapor; when evaporation occurs, this heat is taken away from the wet surface.
