Best vest out there. I am a pro canoe guide and travel all the time. I own many different field vests from around the world. This one is the best. Although I prefer the heavier material, side adjustments and extra back zipper of the previous generation. And PLEASE BRING BACK BLACK!

I have had Khaki ahd also Black for several years. Great fit and comfort for world wide travel especially when it is warm. I find the pockets much more useful than a highly touted competitor's vest other than none for an ipad, but I never wear the competitor's vest, my large billfold won't fit in any of their vest chest pockets, I suppose I could stick it in with the Ipad.
I had a pair of the previous version of the Royal Robbins vest, it's only drawback was the velcro instead of snaps on the outside pockets that tended to pill long sleeve shirts. I still use the Black one when I don't need those pockets or long sleeves and wish I could find the Khaki one.
I was on the site today just to see if ant other colors were available in my favorite vest, I don't think I will ever wear them out and have to replace them although it is tempting to stockpile a couple of extras just in case as all good things they disappear from the market.

This is my traveling assistant that carries a lunch, pocket camera, wallet, plastic poncho or small umbrella, cell phone, and numerous small accessories for a day's adventures. I like traveling with my hands free and without a day sack. When coupled with my Windjammer Travel Jacket, it made a perfect combination of utility, protection, and warmth for Spring days in Ireland and Alaska. The best field vest on the market!

I just bought my second vest, having worn out the first one after eight years. I hike a lot and my vest has over 200 trail miles. There is no other vest like this. The 14 pockets are perfect.
